Signode will showcase integrated end-of-line packaging and automation solutions at PACK EXPO International 2026, October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, with live demonstrations at Booth S-3100. The exhibit will connect case handling, collaborative robotic palletizing, strapping, stretch wrapping, and autonomous material handling across a complete workflow. Signode will demonstrate the Octopus® Prestige™ automatic stretch wrapping machine integrated with TP-12 strapping machines, alongside an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) forklift showing how automated pallet movement can reduce manual touchpoints and support distribution operations.
Connected Warehouse Automation Visitors will learn how integrating AMRs with Signode's StorFast® Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) can increase storage density and connect warehouse automation with upstream and downstream packaging processes. The booth will also feature the RollCycler™ film roll exchange system, which automatically reloads up to eight film rolls in a compact footprint to support high-speed operations. "PACK EXPO gives us an opportunity to show how packaging equipment, robotics, and material handling technologies can work together across the complete end-of-line process," said Rick Hantke, Senior Director of Marketing and Product Management at Signode. "By integrating how cases, pallets, and packaging materials move across the complete end-of-line workflow, manufacturers can improve consistency, productivity, and reliability while establishing a scalable foundation for future automation."
Flexible Packaging Workflow Signode will also demonstrate a Simplimatic® collaborative robotic palletizer integrated with the Little David® LDX-RC random case opener and LDX-RTB semi-automatic random case sealer and Simpli-flex® intelligent product conveyors. This setup targets operations managing changing production requirements, labor constraints, or varied case formats. The exhibit will feature the new BXT Go™ battery-powered strapping hand tool alongside the BXT4 tool line for plastic strapping, designed for manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution environments. Signode will also display protective packaging solutions including dunnage bags, cargo securement, edge protection, and void fill, along with custom packaging materials available through Multi-Wall™, PDM™, and Reddi-Pac™. The company's Engineered Solutions team will offer design services on-site.
Why It Matters
For operators planning capital investments in end-of-line automation, this demonstration illustrates how modular, integrated systems can improve throughput and reliability while reducing manual labor—key priorities as manufacturers navigate ongoing labor constraints and demand for faster order fulfillment.
